Lex for a week.
Got the ol'brother-in-law comin' in today from New Zealand. He's here to pick up some wine from the cellar; I think it's some wedding gift for a mate of his. My bro-in-law is named Alexander (an awesome name) but he prefers to be called Lex. It's no secret around these parts that we don't really get along so well. Not too sure why though; I guess it's a lot to do with me being a rude prick, but hey, I'm a big believer in fair play. Never be a selective bastard, be a bastard to everyone equally! I guess Lex and I are both very determined chaps, if anything, we're that whole 'so alike' shit that we don't get along (weird). Anyway, I'll just stay in my studio 'till the guy's gone. I've got plenty of fuck-tracks to go through so I'll no doubt be able to keep myself busy. Of course if I can talk him into playin' some Wii Fit, there'll be a funny posting later. Another cold day; maybe a variety of soups - pumpkin, leek, chilli and fish or somethin' - I don't know. Yesterday I tried to make some so called 'traditional' German dishes. You see, my sister-in-law named Thyra is German, and she plans on visiting in a week, so I thought it would be nice to cook some old traditional German food for her; but the recipes are so shitty. Like red cabbage with red wine and Lamb shanks with dill and cream. They tasted nice, but I'm struggling to find the German feel in them (other than the cabbage that is). Some of the dishes even suggested to serve meat with rice. Think about it, Rice... Germany. Not too well connected there, hey? Oh well, time to get to work. By the way, I totally threw up this morning! That's so bizarre for me. I hope I can still sing ok today. Might throw together some fresh 'Hair if the Dog' tracks. Get a little pissed and have some fun... that is all for a while.

Alone in the Dark : Retraction
Alone in the Dark for the Wii simply doesn't translate. I'm sure this game will fly on the PS3 and the XBox360, but not on the Wii. After further play I have found the bugs in the game to warrant its ultimate demise from shelves. I'm actually gonna call the store and warn them about inevitable angry returns (which today will be full of). Once again I want it clearly stated that the game itself is an awesome concept maximizing both third and first person views extensively. The weapons and puzzles are innovative and plain old fuckin' cool. This game made FarCry:Vengeance look smooth. So as 'solid' a game (as I so irresponsibly stated yesterday) that this is, the translation to the Wii is vitally lacking. To be truly honest, it pretty much sucks. Look, I'll give it a few more days so I can at least find out what happens at the end, and I even might take a strong liking to the game for some reason, but I'm not lighting any candles or having many hopes! This Wii game seems a little doomed from my perspective. That is all...

re: Alone in the Dark
Just bought 'Alone in the Dark' for the Wii. It's got a few audio bugs (a few HUGE ones), but overall this is a solid game. I'm gonna waste a few days here I'm sure. Right from the moment you start playing, you have to take real responsibility for your character - you even have to blink for a while or your character's eyes go blurry. Fang came along to buy it and had a great time talking with the people at EB Games (to which I throw a special thanks). Gripe though... Hey Nintendo, how's about getting some hdmi converters goin'. Hey? I got a HUGE HD TV but no way at all of pluggin' my Wii into it with full HD. Whaddup widdat? That is all.

A new addition to the team

This is Fang our newest mascot. My wife bought him this morning from the bottle shop. Fang helps raise money for breast cancer research, which is all the more important today what with the funeral of activist and battler Jane. Fang wishes Glenn all the best for the future and promises not to bite him and drink his blood and make him undead. Fang will have heaps of adventures so stay tuned. We're putting him on the payroll as a customer relations officer, so let's see how our complaints department runs with Fang in the drivers seat. (He, he, he.) Fang still has a strong accent and is pretty bad on ye old English, so be patient with him, besides, multiculturalism is what makes this country great. Unfortunately, due to our new addition to the company, all garlic and signs of Jesus or God will have to be removed before meeting with Fang. Sorry to inconvenience anyone, but Fang might turn to salt or ash or sand, and the safety of OUR team is simply more important than Jesus or God. Thank you for your understanding.

re:Dan
Hey Dan, welcome back from Port Douglas. Give us a call soon. Hewwo Maya, stay asleep and shut up as much as possible for Mummy and Daddy. Hey Maz, hope ya feelin' well. Ciao mate!
It's Sunday here in Oz
Well it's a cold, cold day here in Australia. I've been using my nights to write some peaceful sex music as the storms rage overhead. My sincerest congratulations to George on his wedding FINALLY getting the go ahead. Have a great time in South America and swim in the moment. [..uhhh...uhhh....so....cold..] A warming osso bucco stew for later and a shepherds pie for dinner me thinks. I'm getting some pictures for my phone background - I know how dumb I seem by NEVER taking that stuff too seriously in the past, but once I made 'Nile' songs into ring tones I was hooked! Now everyone who calls needs a different death song to accompany them. On a lighter note, I've recently been catching up on my Simpsons intake with hilarious results. Man, it's weird how long that show's been on TV. I mean I've watched it since Grade 3 or something, it's completely raised me. Oh well, it's been a lot of fun re-watching all those episodes (and there's been quite a few I missed to my re-run surprise). A special howdy-hi to Layla Kayleigh; keep your prospects high and you can't fail. My wife says you should watch out for creeps (great advice), and our dogs say 'woof woof' to your dogs. Also on the list is Adam Sessler and the stunning Morgan Webb - I know, all you got was Adam; fine then... Also on the list is the.. um.. ever factual Adam Sessler and the aforementioned Morgan Webb - hoping the upcoming X Play series is as much fun to make as it is to watch (which I am aware is totally impossible). Not to mention how exciting it is now that we have so many different peripherals for gaming, that our fantasies are ACTUALLY starting to come true; from being a rock and roll legend to snowboarding and of course my personal favorite... step aerobics. Yes, you guys have a great era of work ahead of you, just don't let Adam strip it down for Maxim - it simply wouldn't work. Love the show heaps as I am a HARDCORE Nintendo fan. Ever since the eighties when I got my NES, I knew this machine and its followers were destined for gaming greatness. Not to say I don't love my PC as well and I'm still dying to get an Elite Pack XBox360 and a PS3 (time and funds permitting of course), but my Wii has been a great companion and an even better excuse to get out of the studio and shoot my way through Metroid (NES Metroid was my favorite game, and continues its hold to this very morning). I hope I can come see you guys at G4TV some time soon; may have needs to be traveling soon so I'll drop you a line - I'm like that; you have NO idea who I am, and I show up with lunch. I'll just get in the audience for AOTS and take it from there. Oh, of course; hey to Kev and Lisa (how casual is that - too casual is what). Hello to Kevin and Olivia and the gang at Attack of the Show. You guys get some really useful interviews goin' and for some reason the so called Tech-heads in the big money deals are willing to sit down with you, which is cool 'cause they're the only people I really want to hear tech info from - the horses mouth so to speak (or the horses other bits, but they all smell; like fun that is...). I watch Fuel TV all the time, so to the whole team at G4TV - Kristen, Blair, the gadget pron researchers, hell whoever - you guys got a great thing goin' on so best of luck to ya. Hey enough about TV, let's move onto music. Yes it's true, I am putting together a new sex show that's gonna be terrific. The show should be about 50 minutes long, so I can surprise the local pubs with it. It will contain some girl on girl action which I understand everybody has been enjoying very much. Considerations for a gay club tour are absolutely being considered, so to the gay community out there, don't you worry! Shinjikudios is looking forward to performing for y'all too! Our research is strong and though auditions are difficult, we here are sure we can come up with a good team in the near future, so keep your ears and eyes alive. Unfortunately the Christmas show may be canceled due to family health issues, but we'll keep that information fresh so fans can stay up to date on it. 'Snuff' will still be at the New Years Eve show - that's a promise, and 'Halloween' (which as some may know is also my wedding anniversary) is in the workings as usual. Plenty of pics on the way from Pixieminx Studios and maybe even some sound bytes. Oh, and one more time 'Doovies - come and get your pants!'. That is all, back later tonight no doubt.

Every day

Every morning, I get up at around 5 AM and have a Berocca. Then I drink some soy milk and have a banana and an apple. Then I go to the can and have a shower. I then warm up on my wii-fit and enjoy a good breakfast (usually eggs or tuna sandwiches with salad). Then I have a multivitamin with some lysine, echinacea and a strong mocha. Now I'm ready to watch morning news. By the time my wife wakes up (or I wake her up) I know the weather, the current events, all about Britney's sister, the traffic and how to form a family tree. Ready for a full day by 8:30 AM, I set up my eq. and get ready to play from 9 AM. I always throw down a shot of booze or two to lighten my inhibitions and relax me, that way I get more done without being picky. First thing is to go through yesterdays work and master it, ('cause it's sooo boring). Then I'll run through some old tunes and scales on the guitar and plenty of drum drills till lunch. At lunch I do some stretching and get ready for recording time. Lunch is usually fresh carbonara or some really super spicy Mexican food (to clear out my sinuses if I'm singing that day). About midday I wipe out yesterday's work - after archiving earlier during mastering - and get to business until dinner at around 9 PM. During and after dinner I'll clean up some limiters, but I don't make it a habit to make decisions at the end of a day. I find I'm often tired and annoyed, which is NO condition to be in to make decisions. Best leave it till morning. Then I run through some sword routines and do some more yoga. If I'm in the mood I'll hit the punching bag or use the bench press - depending on how much death drums I'd been playing that day - then rinse off and pop into my jammies and into bed. If I've been busy in the studio, my wife will tell me about important calls and fill me in; then we'll both chuckle about them together. Then sleep with old Noir or Creepy films on and begin again tomorrow.
Personal Howdy

Hello to Dan and Maz - and a HUGE howdy hi to Maya! Everyone here hopes you're all doing great. Congratulations to Dan on his new found free time. Hi to James and Charlie, to Lorna for all her support and bickering, to Wendy and Sam-yu-rai (you know who you are), to Silvia and the legendary Vincent up north. To Mum and "The Amazing Deane's" - Noonie, Judy, Diana, Drucilla, Steve, Tim, Sophie, Pete and his Mum and about a thousand other people I can't name. Howdy to the irreplaceable DOOVIES, without whom I'd never have become the man I am. Special thanks to Mick for being just about the best human being to ever be born and his wife for cooking the best food ever cooked in the world (with booze to match), to Crispy and his guitar (buy a better amp), to Goldilocks for his useless video store abilities (fight on kid), and of course possibly the strongest, sexiest and friendliest man alive - Rooster himself. Finally a super cute hello to The Professor, The Pilot and their kids Natasha, Ronya and Oliver - uncle nightbane misses you all heaps and hopes to cook for you at Christmas. Since I'm blogging this, if I miss anyone I can always update the thing!

Hello everyone and welcome to the Shinjikudios blog. In this blog you'll be able to read all about the embarrassing situations that take place within an art department. Our staff will reveal ALL the dirt on our clients and students. Read about stupid film ideas and incompetent engineers. Read about horrible shows that were doomed to failure from the start. Above all, read about the rude fools that come through this place and attempt to put demands on us. Read about how late people are, people not phoning, people negotiating budgets, blah blah. Every time something dumb happens (which is a lot) you'll read it first right here. Back soon with some tales from the studio...
Welcome to all
Hello everyone out there in magic land. This is the "SHINJIKUDIOS" blog. Just testing first and then a full explanation of this blog will be submitted.
